According to engadget.com and www.macrumors.com the Apple Event has been confirmed!!! On the picture it says “come see our latest creation.” Thinking about that something must be new. In January 2008 Apple introduced the MacBook Air (which I am currently using right now) and they had the tag “There’s something in the Air.” and as Steve Jobs says it “There’s something clearly in the Air.” What do you think is going to be introduced in this event. This event is to take place on the 27th which is next week! There was many rumors saying that there would be an event this month and now we know its true! As we know by the title of macrumors post that Apple has already sent out invitations. Comment below on what you think is going to be there creation! Remember back when Toshiba was all for their HD-DVD technology? And we saw Toshiba and Sony go head to head until Sony took the prize? Toshiba pretty much admitted to defeat today when they announced they would have their own Blu-Ray Player out to the market by the end of the year. Yomiuri Shimbun said they had given up on the HD-DVD idea and would now focus on possibly presenting a Blu-Ray player by the end of the year.

After 6 months off on a medical leave, Steve Jobs has returned to Apple. Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer in mid-2004, very few survive, though Steve had a rare type, an islet cell neuroendocrine tumor, Steve had surgery and returned to normal health. Though in April of this year Steve underwent a liver transplant, that, whilst already being on a medical leave due to a hormonal imbalance. Steve has now returned and is reportedly being working a few days a week whilst the rest are spent at home. Though Steve has had say over things and input on topics, I think that his return is going bring many great products over the next 12 months, but I guess we will have to just wait and see. Overall it’s great to have Steve back on the job and I wish all the best for him.

Hello, this is Parth, a new writer for FPG!! It feels like just yesterday that the iPhone 3Gs was lining up on the shelves of Apple stores. In the first 3 days that the new Ipone 3Gs has been on shelves, 1 million+ phones have been sold all across the world. (That’s a lot of phones!!) And over 6 million have downloaded the iPhone OS 3.0 firmware updates.(That’s a lot of updates!!) Not even Apple CEO Steve Jobs predicted that this many phones would sell in its 1st weekend. The original iPhone sold 270,000 in its first weekend in June, 2007.
Apple may be in the lead for now, but some heavy competition could (but probably won’t lol) stop the iPhone in its tracks. The Palm Pre has sold between 50,000 and 100,000 in its first 2 days and later this summer Research in Motion will unveil there new black berry. But if your a true Apple lover, you know that the iPhone can’t be stopped.
All Hail iPhone

Day 2 has been amazing, today Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft showed off there stuff.
I think Nintendo deserves a round of applause, as many of you gamers know last year they didn’t give the best press conference and they followed it over the following months by apologizing a number of times. This year they gave a great presentation, it was put together well and gave us surprise after surprise.
Here are todays top announcements:
